Buy Local Program, Manager. Matthew has a long history in Olympia. He is the co-publisher of Olympia Power & Light newspaper, covering all things local including profiling a new local business every issue. He is also a former member of the Olympia City Council, and served on the boards of Bread & Roses, Thurston Conservation Voters, and two local neighborhood associations.
Indicator Project, Manager. Chris has a passion for outdoor activity and advocates for non-motorized transportation and trails at the local and state level. Chris has served over the past decade with several South Sound public interest and non-profit organizations in environment and social development work and is a founding father of the Indicator Project.
Local Food Systems Program, Manager. TJ’s a past member of Garden Raised Bounty (GRuB) Board of Directors and a strong advocate for local agriculture and food systems development.
Buy Local Program, Sales Team. Louise has happily worked in downtown Olympia for 12 years, cultivating community and enjoying our local offerings. Having worked for local businesses and running her own small business, she brings a growing commitment to our local economy. Louise is ready to take on challenges with care and excitement!
Sustainable South Sound, Executive Director. Michelle joined Sustainable South Sound in early 2013. She has a background in international corporate social responsibility, and was the founder and director for both Concerned Citizens of Thurston County and Thurston CAO Coalition. Michelle has been an active advocate for the environment and sustainable community planning for years.
Buy Local Program, Sales Team. Kate has worked for locally owned businesses in downtown Olympia for over 15 years. She is passionate about supporting our local economy through sustainable business development. Kate loves walking and exploring Olympia with her children.
Buy Local Program, Sales Team. Sarah graduated from The Evergreen State College in the spring of 2013 with an emphasis in Community Studies and a background in Sociology. She is passionate about building community solidarity and believes that social change is successful when individuals within a community work together from the ground up.
